Our Story

The Readers to Leaders Foundation was started by Tiffany Drake along with her husband Jerry. It was born out of a campaign that included distributing gently used books, free of charge, to children at festivals across Grayson County, Texas. Tiffany enjoyed seeing children smile so much that she decided to expand the program, partnering with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the Grayson County United Way’s United We Read programs. The Readers to Leaders Foundation was officially launched in 2025 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to continue the fun.

The Readers to Leaders Foundation accepts donations of gently used books to distribute for free to children in Grayson and Cooke counties in Texas. We also have plans to establish scholarship programs in the near future, so stay tuned to this site for more!
